On Site Conservation (First Aid Treatment)
On Site first aid conservation interventions on easel paintings, icons and wood by Minas Chatzichristou is conducted in order to treat damages at early stages in houses, historic buildings, churches, art galleries and antique shops.
Laboratory Conservation
Fine Art Conservation-restoration is conducted at our specially equipped laboratories.
Research
We undertake conservation research projects on behalf of public institutions, such as the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and private organizations, including foundations and private collections, as well as international bodies and EU programs.We collaborate with Laboratories specialized in the Scientific analysis of works of art such as paintings authenticity etc. Each research project fully meets the conservation requirements of both the artwork and the institution involved.
We undertake the design and planning of museum and exhibition spaces in collaboration with museologists, art historians, architects and engineers. Representative of our work is the reorganization of the Museum of Ecclesiastical Artworks at the Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary of Tourliani on the island of Mykonos, which was accomplished in accordance with the latest standards of modern museology, ensuring that the invaluable religious art objects were properly conserved and displayed in such a way so as to satisfy even the most demanding visitors and pilgrims.
In this field, we have carried out projects for the planning of art museums and exhibitions with the contribution of scientists and specialists.
Minas Chatzichristou teaches lectures such as:
